All starting cores are in excellent to above average condition with only minor wear from normal use. Kit installation requires complete door panel removal and disassembly. Local installation services are available, as well as phone assistance.

The door window switch panel bezel trims were carefully removed to minimize damage to the plastic retaining studs, ensuring easy reinstallation. Installation requires door card removal and the use of a plastic welder or stapler. While other methods can be used, a plastic stapler is highly effective and easy to work with.
The carbon material used to match the original Porsche 997 is a plain 3k carbon with an Ends Per Inch (EPI) of 12.5 and Picks Per Inch (PPI) of 12.5. Placed side-by-side, the fabrics are visually identical.

In terms of finish, refinished pieces usually come back with a crisper clear coat and a deeper black—very similar to how they appeared when new. Over time, all carbon and epoxy naturally yellow or lose some clarity, depending on sunlight exposure and the condition of the original materials. I’ve attached side-by-side photos for comparison, and you’ll also find more examples in the gallery on my website.

For the cleanest overall look, many customers choose to have adjacent or adjoining pieces refinished at the same time so that all finishes match perfectly.
