Carbon Fiber Repair Options

We use a three-phase approach to carbon fiber repair, ensuring the best results based on the damage level. The cost depends on the part’s size, complexity, and the time and materials required. Review these options to determine which repair level suits your needs.

Option 1: Refinish Only

Ideal when damage has not reached the carbon fiber.

Repairs minor scratches, chips, and small cracks.
The original clear coat or epoxy finish is lightly sanded or removed as needed.
The surface is prepped and refinished with Automotive 2-part Clear Acrylic Urethane, then polished to restore the original look.

Option 2: Epoxy & Refinish (For minor fiber damage)

Required when damage has reached the carbon fiber but is still repairable.

Affected areas are repaired and reinforced with new carbon fiber backing.
The visual layer is filled and leveled with epoxy.
The entire surface is prepped and refinished with Automotive 2-part Clear Acrylic Urethane.
Visual Considerations: Any sanding, cutting, or cracks reaching into the fibers may still be visible post-repair. This method restores 80-95% of the visual appearance when the underlying fibers are intact. However, imperfections such as micro delamination, air bubbles, deep scratches, or large cracks may alter the look slightly.
Not recommended for highly visible, flat areas like hoods if a perfect finish is required.

Option 3: Carbon Fiber Recover (For extensive damage)

Best when damage is severe, including holes, tears, or shape distortion.

Affected areas are repaired and reinforced with new carbon fiber backing materials.
A new layer of carbon fiber is applied over the damaged surface area.
Carbon weave is matched to the original for a seamless look.
This method restores near-perfect visual quality and structural integrity.

Damaged in addition to the carbon fiber such as mounting points, clips and tabs can often be repaired as part of this service, ensuring a flawless final result. Please keep any parts that may have broken off the original part for reference or reattachment.

Receive a Quote: We’ll evaluate your request and provide a detailed quote and an estimated timeline for completion once we receive your parts.
Ship or drop off your parts: You’ll send the parts to us for processing. Return shipping costs (if required) will be included in your quoted price.
